Bab-al Jannah(Gates of Paradise)

This piece is a combination of inspirations, mainly the wonderful carved grand Zanzibari doors of east Africa. The arch has been constructed after a study trip to the Al Hambra in Spain. The eight-ness of the geometry has been inspired by a Hadith stating the presence of 8 gates in Paradise.
